At Soniox, we’re building the future of real-time voice understanding — powering speech AI that listens, translates, and reasons across languages. We’re looking for an experienced, product-focused engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves turning cutting-edge AI into practical, world-changing tools.

You’ll play a critical role in bringing Soniox's large language models and real-time voice intelligence to millions of users — from developers building with our API, to professionals using our apps in the field. You’ll work directly with users, researchers, and the broader engineering team to build new product features, iterate quickly, and ship high-impact improvements that push the boundaries of what speech AI can do.

In this role, you will:

• Own the end-to-end development of new Soniox product features, from concept to launch.
• Talk to users, understand their needs, and translate feedback into elegant, fast, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with AI researchers to test and integrate the latest model capabilities.
• Build frontend and backend systems using modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, Python).
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and user experience as we scale globally.
• Contribute to shaping our product direction as we grow from thousands to millions of users.

You might thrive in this role if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience building user-facing software products, ideally in fast-moving environments.
• Are comfortable working across the stack — frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python, Postgres, etc.).
• Enjoy solving real customer problems and iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Thrive when given autonomy and ownership in an early-stage product environment.
• Are excited about AI/ML — you don’t need deep research experience, just a curiosity and drive to build with it.
• Can navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under evolving requirements.
