We are hiring a AI technical support specialist to deliver best-in-class technical support, shape our customer experience, and drive scalable systems that power the next era of AI-powered communication. This is a high-impact role: you’ll work directly with our customers — from fast-moving startups to global enterprises — helping them build with our platform, troubleshoot issues, and unlock full value from our technology.

Your work will be instrumental in defining the gold standard of AI support — combining deep technical insight with operational excellence. You’ll also help us build and scale our support infrastructure, using Soniox’s own AI capabilities to reinvent what support can be in a new era of AI.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the frontline technical expert for Soniox customers, responding to support tickets, Discord messages, and high-touch requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across our API, streaming infrastructure, SDKs, and real-time speech/translation platform.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product to identify root causes, suggest fixes, and advocate for improvements that enhance customer experience.
  • Build internal systems and processes that improve our operational efficiency, response times, and feedback loops.
  • Use Soniox technology to develop AI-powered tools that streamline support — from auto-triage to conversational diagnostics.
  • Share learnings from customer interactions to improve onboarding, documentation, developer tools, and product design.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability of support across time zones, including occasional weekend/holiday coverage.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in technical support, solutions engineering, or developer success at high-growth startups or technical SaaS companies.
  • Are an excellent communicator and problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer experience.
  • Have strong technical intuition and can quickly understand APIs, SDKs, networking flows, and AI infrastructure.
  • Are obsessed with root causes, love writing clear bug reports and fixes, and enjoy finding scalable solutions to recurring problems.
  • Are highly organized, fast-moving, and capable of juggling multiple issues at once without dropping the ball.
  • Have a bias toward action, care deeply about your teammates, and are excited to build the future of support in the AI age.
